Nowadays, many people are not sick. But their vitality, responsiveness and adaptability are reduced, which is manifested as depression, low mood, chest tightness, heart palpitations, insomnia, forgetfulness, lack of energy, tiredness, physical weakness, backaches and weakened immunity. All these symptoms are very common and are called “subhealthy”.
Reasons for “Subhealthy”
According to traditional Chinese medicine, health status is regarded as a dynamic balance between human and nature. The “relative” balance between Yin and Yang is healthy for both body and mind. The unimpeded flow of “qi” (life energy) is of equal importance.
Irregular working hours, unhealthy food and poor sleeping habits can cause an imbalance between Yin and Yang, causing mood swings, tiredness and other symptoms.
Prevention of traditional Chinese medicine
People in a “subhealthyy” state are at risk of illness if they do not seek treatment in time.
In the “Clinical Guidelines for TCM Treatment of the Subhealthy”, the common symptoms of diseases are divided into eight forms: liver Qi depression, stagnation of liver qi, spleen deficiency, deficiency of heart and spleen, deficiency of liver and kidney – in deficiency, deficiency of lung and spleen, dampness and abnormal functions of spleen caused by stagnation of liver.
Four methods: Observation, Auscultation & Olfaction, Inquiry, Pulse Feeling & Palpation are used in traditional Chinese medicine to diagnose the disease.
Five methods for treatment are used in traditional Chinese medicine: Acupuncture/moxibustion, herbal medicine, tuina (massage), Tai Chi/Qigong (kinesiology) and diet therapy, cooperating with physical exercise, healthy lifestyle and eating habits.
